About
Welcome! I am a Digital Marketer and Blogger. I created this website to provide ease to webmasters, who want to start their money making journey by sharing my personal experiences. In addition, here I’ll also share about my upcoming projects.
My Online Journey!
Hello dear reader, I am Sumit Sharma, a blogger and Digital Marketer from Rishikesh. My digital blogging journey started in 2018. But, before getting into it, first let me tell you how it all begins. I have completed my 8th class from a Sanskrit school named “Darshan Mahavidyalaya” which is situated near Ram Jhula, Rishikesh.
Since childhood, I have been very interested in computer-related work, so I decided to do my 10th through open board. You all must be thinking why I chose the computer field instead of choosing a career related to Sanskrit, why sudden career switch? Well, we’ll discuss that later on.
Once I completed my 10th and 12th again from the open board. I did a Diploma in Computer Science where I got to know about blogging and stuff. During my studies, I read many Hindi vlogs on various topics. That time I also read some articles regarding earning money online through blogging. Those articles inspired me to start my first tech blog on Blogger.
During that phase, I and my friends bunked many classes to use the internet on library computers. We relied on Psiphon software since Jio’s service wasn’t available back then.
At the beginning, I thought it was a great career option and I would comfortably earn up to 50k, setting me up for life. However, it didn’t go as I planned and the reality set in quickly. Soon I realized that making money through blogging was much harder than I had expected. However, I experimented with 2-3 more blogs on Blogspot, but none of them yielded significant results.
Well, life goes on. After that, I learned about WordPress. I bought my first domain “Bloggy Mind” from GoDaddy, and hosted it on HostGator. This marked my first ever investment, which was supported by my mother. Sadly, despite my efforts, this blog also failed. That was a really hard time. I even asked my friends to collaborate but they were not that interested. Because who wants to work for free? None right!
During my college time, I went for an internship where I got to know about SEO for the very first time. Although I was interested in offline marketing, I had to choose between SEO and PHP for my internship. For this, I chose SEO, as my interest was in marketing. This decision proved beneficial. After my internship, I wanted to learn more about SEO. So, I watched numerous videos and read articles online.
I even invested 25k in a course in Gujarat but realized that the most valuable knowledge I gained from free online resources. But most of the institutes provide very basic training without much practical knowledge. So, it is far better to learn deeply about SEO by utilizing online resources or working on your own blogs.
Well, during that period, I started another blog focused on software downloads with domain “Downloads Cnet” but soon abandoned it. Then, I bought another domain “Fox Maya” to offer SEO services. This proved a turning point in my career. At that time, I began designing websites on WordPress, as I was passionate about design.
I created many Elementor templates and blocks, which I made available for free to users. The templates and blocks designed by me were well-received, and many people appreciated them. Even today, individuals use them for their work, which is no less than any accomplishment.
Moving Forward….
Nowadays, most of my income comes from designing websites for various clients and providing SEO services. My journey in digital marketing and blogging has been like a roller coaster ride. One key lesson I’ve learned is the importance of focus. Many new bloggers make the mistake of buying numerous domains in excitement, as I did.
Dear friends, SEO takes time and effort, especially when it comes to building backlinks. So, just concentrate on a single website, it can yield substantial revenue and set the foundation for future projects. Don’t ever waste your time and efforts in trying to manage multiple niches. Nevertheless, once your website starts generating good revenue then you may think about buying other domains.
From my journey, I learned a lot. Earlier, I made the common mistake of trying to tackle multiple domains, which wasted my efforts and eventually delayed my success. However, each of my failures taught me valuable lessons. This is one of the reasons that now I am earning online.
On this website, I’ll be sharing my experiences, including the mistakes I’ve made and the lessons I’ve learned in my long journey. My aim is to help new blogging enthusiasts in their online journey and prevent them from making the same mistakes as mine.
